Life is nothing without Love

Graphic Illustration: Bartek Fedyczak
The day isn’t pretty good but singing changes my mood….

What have we to do?
What have we to say?

Dozens come and blow,
Millions have to pray.

I keep playing the strings, with nobody around to sing.
The thunder of the clouds... sounds like they applause.

Smiling on our deeds, the Gods forbid their kids,
Ruins all around, dust is all we sniff….

Listening to gunfire, the heart desires death.
Pity be upon us, this is life, not a race.

Why not, embrace the grace?
Why not, stay always blessed?

Life is nothing without love,
Just hope we live this phrase.

Iron Crows

Marzena Nereida Piwowar Art
"Yana… Yana… She always cried, on all those sunny days when I woke up like a tender flower adorned in her vase."

Boom…!  The sound of harshness pierced early morning in my ears and that was the time I realised Mum had left us alone in the world once we called paradise.

Dad said, "Yana my love, stay close."

My eyes welled with tears as I asked, "Dad, what is wrong with our paradise? Why did Mum go?

Dad replied, "Beyond the boundaries lay a mystic land, a land free of terror, a land free of iron crows. Mum has been to that land, to deck it with white band and cheese so that we restore peace.”

I hoped for the best keeping in mind that the sky won’t rest as I saw the iron crows fled over the mud pits targeting its prey where no more Yana would ever join her hands to pray.
